Salami Beer Rolls
Tidbits... These salami beer rolls can easily be accompanied by a nice cold beer. They are flavorful and they disappear quickly. You might want to double the recipe.
Ingredients
- Flour - 6 cups
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Sugar - 1 T
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil - 3 T
- Dry yeast - 2 packets
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Beer - 12 oz.
- Sliced Salami - 300 g
Instructions
- Pour beer, oil and water into small pan and heat until warm (not hot), mix 2 cups flour, sugar, yeast and salt in mixing bowl.
- Pour warm beer mixture into flour mixture and mix for 30 seconds then let rest for 2 minutes. Slowly add remaining flour, and mix for 5 minutes. Place in greased bowl. Cover with towel until dough has doubled in size.
- Knead, dough for about 5 minutes. Keep cutting into halves until you have 16 sections. Lightly flour work surface and roll out each piece approximately 4” by 6”.
- Layer thinly sliced salami on each one. Fold dough over salami and pinch ends. Place pinched side down on lightly sprayed or parchment lined baking sheet.
- Let rise 2 hours.
- Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
