Nutella Cake Pops
Tidbits... After pasta, Nutella is probably the most famous Italian creation. These cake pops are laced with Nutella, and coupled with the dark chocolate cake and dark chocolate dipping sauce are "yumm"!
Ingredients
- Dipping Sauce
- Dark chocolate bar - 200 g melted
- Cake pops
- Chocolate Cake - 1/2 cake makes 20 pops
- Nutella - 4 T per 1/2 cake
- Toppings - Ground nuts, chocolate sprinkles
Instructions
Preparing Cake Balls
- Let cake cool. Each cake makes approximately 40 balls.
- Crumble cake in large bowl.
- Mix in the 3 - 4 tablespoons of Nutella per half cake. Until the mixture sticks together and can form small balls.
- Roll into firmly packed balls and refrigerate on a tray, covered for at least two hours.
- Meanwhile, melt chocolate slowly in a double boiler or microwave.
Preparation
- Dip end of stick or fork into melted chocolate then insert part way into cake pop.
- Swirl in melted chocolate and let the excess drip back into bowl.
- Dip in topping .
- Refrigerate at least two hours to harden chocolate.
