Chocolate Cupcakes
Tidbits... These chocolate cupcakes with dark chocolate and coffee butter cream frosting melt in your mouth. Who can resist?
Ingredients
- Cupcakes
- Flour - 1 1/2 cups
- Cocoa powder - 1/2 cup unsweetened
- Baking Powder - 1 T
- Baking soda - 1 tsp.
- Butter - 1 cup
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Eggs - 3
- Milk - 1 cup
- Frosting
- Butter - 3/4 cup softened
- Powdered sugar - 3 cups
- Cocoa powder - 1/2 cup unsweetened
- Vanilla - 1 tsp.
- Milk - 2 T
Instructions
- Whisk dry ingredients. Set aside.
- Beat softened butter and sugar for 5 minutes until creamy then add eggs one at a time.
- Add flour mixture a third at a time to the sugar butter mixture alternating with the milk.
- Fill baking cups 1/2 full and bake at 350˚ for 15 - 20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
Frosting
- Blend softened butter with powdered sugar until creamy. Stir in cocoa and vanilla then dilute with milk and continue to stir until smooth and well blended.
- Frost cupcakes and use your imagination and decorate .
