Quiche Lorraine
Tidbits... This quiche is extremely light and flavorful.
Ingredients
- Pie Crust - 9 inch (ready made disk)
- Bacon - 8 slices
- Swiss Cheese or Gruyere - 2 cups grated
- Eggs - 3
- Heavy cream - 1 cup
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Dry mustard - 1.2 tsp,
- Salt and pepper - to taste
- Cayenne pepper - Pinch
- Scallions - 2
Instructions
- Cook bacon until crisp and drain on paper toweling then crumble.
- Sprinkle bacon and grated cheese in bottom of pastry shell.
- Beat eggs and spoon blend in cream, milk and seasonings.
- Pour over cheese and bacon.
- Bake 45 minutes or until custard is firm and golden.
- Let set 20 mintutes before serving.
