Blackberry Marmalade
Tidbits...The sweet, wild blackberrries were abundant this year on the prickly bushes in the hills near my home.
Ingredients
- Blackberries - 1 kg
- Sugar - 200 g
- Lemon - 1 (Juice only)
Instructions
- Soak blackberries in water bath for 2 or 3 minutes.
- Drain and run berries through sieve to remove seeds.
- Put berry juice, lemon juice and water on low. Cook and reduce stirring frequently until the marmalade becomes the right dense consistency.
- Bottle hot marmalade in sterilized jars.
