Arizona Cactus Cookies
Tidbits... Have a nice day with these adorable Javelina & Cactus Cookies. The butter cookies will melt in your mouth! They are almost too cute to eat.
Ingredients
- Flour - 280 g
- Baking powder - 1/2 tsp.
- Salt - Oi
- Butter - 170 g softened
- Sugar - 125 g
- Egg - l large
- Vanilla - 2 tsp.
- Almoknd exttact - 1/2 tsp.
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl beat butter and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add egg, vanilla and almond extract and stir until well blended.
- Add dry ingredients a little at a time and if the mixture is too sticky or soft, add additional spoons of flour until mixture is the right consistency.
- Divide the dough into 2 equal parts and roll into 2 balls Roll out and put on parchment paper until 1/4 inches thick. Cover first rolled out ball with parchment and roll out 2nd part. Stack one over the other and refrigerate for at least 2 hours and up to 2 days.
- Remove from fridge and cut dough into shapes. Bake in 350˚F preheated oven for 11-12 minutes until edges just start to turn golden.
- Decorate as desired.
