Bread Chestnut Stuffing
Tidbits...This chestnut stuffing is enough for a 12-15 pound whole turkey. It can also be cooked separately and used for a side dish.

- Make short slits on sides of chestnuts and simmer for 30 minutes. Peel and chop roughly
- Melt butter in skillet and add crumbled sausage, giblets ,onions and celery. Cook until celery is tender and sausage is no longer pink.
- Stir in herbs and chestnuts and cook another 5 minutes. Pour mixture then broth over cubed bread and stir until well coated. Stuffing should be quite moist but not wet. Stuff turkey or bake separately in generously buttered pan for 30 minutes at 350˚
